The Vintage Paddle Collection

Five Island Life has been many things over the years, but it all began in 2015 with a shirt and a simple question: “Why is everyone in Emmetsburg wearing Lake Okoboji shirts? Why doesn’t Five Island Lake have its own line?” 

Our first answer was “Crossed Paddles”—a design pasted together with clip art and a dream, brought to life by my friend Judi at Emmetsburg Screen Printing.  Despite its humble beginnings, it quickly became a favorite. Now refreshed with muted colors and printed on the softest fabrics, the Vintage Lake Paddle Collection is a nod to our roots—a reminder that when you’re searching for the way forward, the earliest sparks of a dream often hold the answer.
