The Bigfoot Collection

For me, it’s the night of Senior Skip Day in 1999, when five of us got stranded on 5th Island with the Junior class mascot, Goat.

We had no food, shelter, or cell phones, but we had each other. As for the noise we heard in the woods that night? Well, it could have been anything really. A badger, for example. Or Bryan's irate dad coming to rescue us- and reclaim his fishing boat, "borrowed" several hours earlier to transport party go-ers to and from the island.

Or it could have been Bigfoot himself. 

We may never know what really happened, but rumor has it the gentle giant still wanders around Emmetsburg, soaking in its natural beauty and small-town charm.
